How to not participate?

Is there a way to not participate in the Kimmy pride parade? I am not seeing an "X" to not join in on the parade and the back button is doing nothing. Is it forcing me to participate in order to continue progress and play? No one wants to be forced for anything.

No sorry, there is no way not to participate in the event. You can play the game and not claim the rewards if you want. If you don’t want to play the game with the theme, it’s up to you not to open or play the game for a while.
Please note if you don’t open the game, your Daily Booster will be reset to day 1.
