Hi @michimune
It seems like we understood the current challenge's instructions similarly but the others understood it differently.
I'm interested in knowing your point of view. What made you think that was Lofi's intention/goal?
1 -
I think the misunderstanding of the rule is due to their translator problem π
The last time is the highest score in one entry to get 3000 extra blocks and this time is the goal.
You can read my other posts in witches' lair recently, not only that one posted by your teammates.
As you said in your horde, I have given a thumbs up to your that post, he EMPHASIZED several times in win-win, two teams can win, no loser. The name for prize is Complete Challenge Reward. Some wording even in BOLD font.
This challenge is not a competition obviously, it's just a funny task completion game this time. And the task is not difficult to achieve. I don't know why your leader thought it was 5M Bottles at the beginning.π
Perhaps the organiser even wants two teams coordinate together to achieve the goal. This is a win-win game only, don't waste too much effort to prepare spreadsheet and stuff. I think 99.9% will be win-win at last.
If this is a EXACT 5M competition, I think he should have said it is 5M, no more no less at the rule. And he will name the prize as Winning Rewards.

Thanks for your reply! πI agree with you.
On a side note, the thing is I don't believe it's translation problem. π ( I know you're probably just joking) Also, I only heard this from you so I'm not sure, perhaps our leader initially thought of collecting bottles due to the previous challenge of collecting chocolate.
Now to the matter at hand. On my end, the statement of "can collectively gather", means one is not expected to get that specific amount. The word "can" is not considered definite and not inherently specific. Include that with "both teams can win this week", made me think that surpassing the stated amount will suffice in completing the challenge.
The next statement of "if neither team completes the challenge", I gathered that it means if no team is able to get a score beyond the 5M, then who ever is closer wins.
If it was stated this way, "the team that collectively gathered the score of 5M" then it becomes definite or specific which means exactly 5M.
Another thing, allowing both teams to win means a dead end to our team because your team already won two times and there are only 4 challenges. By default, we already lost the competition. We are not given a chance to further compete for a tie.
Anyway, we're waiting for further clarifications from the organizer.

@Ibnana2 I feel for you, I saw in different threads all what happened to you lately: this year seems to have been a very difficult year for you πYour profile incident reminds me of what occured to one of our friends here. All of a sudden, with no reason whatsoever, her profile was completely emptied: no more of her above 300 badges, all comments erased, she was back to a newbie profile, level 1. I do not know if she looked for help and if anything was done to help her get her status back, she now has left the Community.
By the way, I saw your comment in the WW thread following the announcement of our group victory. Your ID is not connected to your profile or username, but to your game. So you can still use it to receive your rewards (boosters, gold bars)
Hope for the best regarding your profile ππ€π

If you have read the CM's latest reply, you will know that we have a better understanding abilities than many players. π This time he said his intention very clear, no confusion.
"so instead of seeing them as opponents - the idea is to work together within the team instead!"
This is what I said in witches' lair, he wants us coordinating together to reach win-win. This challenge 3 is not a competition anymore, it's just a complete task funny game and the goal is very lowβtotal scoreβ₯5M. Therefore I think 99.9% will be both win at last.
But after I have read your leader and her assistant's comment, I think they are still misleading by their translator.ππ Your leader said:
"so this means the best score is 5.000.000 and if the teams score 4.999.900 and 5.000.100 we have a tie and both teams win"
First, the 5M is not a best score, it is not a target, it's just a finishing line to get rewards. Second, the team get 4,999,900 will lose as they did not reach the goal and the latter is winner as they reach goal, it is not a tie.
For example:
A team: 13.5M, B team: EXACT 5M, both win. Because both team reached the goal, so no need to waste much effort to adjust the score to exact 5M.
A team: 13M, B team: 4.9999M, it is still A team win, because they reach the goal, closer than 5M is meaningless.
A team: 4.9M, B team: 4.8M, A team win as they nearer the goal.
So simple, I actually really don't know which parts confused them.π€π€
Please help your teammates move to right track again.
You are rightπthis makes your team lose a chance to compete further with a tie. But at least your team can have one win in the Team Contest, otherwise your team will....
Sorry, I don't want to speak out the sad truth π

You have stated and explained them clearly.
If the instructions were stated in these manners then there wouldn't be any confusions. But even the latest CM's reply, there can still be misinterpretations.
We understood them regardless but due to the language barriers in the community, we cannot expect everyone to understand them without specificity. Even your teammates asked again for further clarifications on that thread after the current reply.
On our team, they are set on their interpretations. I have tried by asking the CM and Mod to clarify these instructions on our thread as you have probably already seen. They saw the current reply but still understood them differently so there's nothing else I can do. I can only respect their decisions.
We have reached a dead end as I have stated before. I don't mind. It is what it is. I came in late in the competition so I have nothing to complain. Congratulations on your win. π Second place is not bad, although it's also last for there are only two teams competing.π

Thanks for your reply again π
Yes, your teammates are very difficult to lead to a RIGHT TRACK now. But it is very pity that the new assistant in your team once said he hopes the coming challenges we will not come up against a brick wall. Nevertheless a wrong strategy will have a different results.
As I have read the reply from the mod after the CM's latest reply, I think even the mod has a misunderstanding to the rule so far. She suggested the teams should aim to as close as the 5M as possible and don't need to exceed it too much.
But the actual aim is to get a higher score as you can, this can let your teammates earn Extra Reward: 2 hammers. They want to adjust the score to Exact 5M, this will constraint the high scorer in your team to get an amazing score for the Extra Reward.π’π’
If the latest reply from the CM has some examples, like mine, I think it will be helpful! Hope they have a misunderstanding to the rule is due to language barrier and not the hurt from last 2 loss.ππ

@michimune you are right, and I didn't listen to you π
