Need a Helping Hand? ๐ญ
Got a game question or need help? This is the place to ask!
If you have followed the last Soda Cup, you should have known this is an INFAMOUS problem happened to many players.
According to the last Soda Cup, I am sorry to tell you that you will be disqualified from the tournament by the studios fault. You will not have any compensation by their fault.
You may get 10 gold bars if you complain this infamous problem to the customer service.
Oh no @michimune, youโre kidding me right?? I hope this isnโt the case @Yosca. I spent a lot of money buying coloring candies so I could be in first place in the qualifiers, I will be extremely upset if Iโm disqualified through no fault of my own. If so, that is supremely disappointing, especially if itโs been a known issue in other events and nothing has been done to mitigate the issue or at the very least compensate those of us who are unfortunate enough to encounter the issue in coming events. It would seem rather unfair to punish these players for an issue outside of their control, especially when said players reported the issue well in advance. Take myself for instance, I reported the problem within a day of when the quarterfinals where supposed to have started, but my incident wasnโt looked at/resolved by the relevant team in time because it fell on a weekend
I can imagine you would be upset @mattakus and I did reported it to our Community Manager @LoFiGummy , who has not yet received an answer from the Studio.
Thanks! Do you have the latest game version and Android version? I assume, you already did the troubleshooting ๐, right?
Restart: Force close all open apps and restart your device. Leave it switched off for at least 10 seconds, then turn it on again.
Updates: Make sure you have the latest game and device updates
Memory: Do you have sufficient memory on your device? King recommends having at least 2GB free memory storage to run the game smoothly.ย
Connection: Try to connect to a WiFi connection instead of using cellular data
Clear Cache: inย Android: go to settings - tap on apps - tap on candy crush soda - tap on storage - tap on clear cache (not dataโ๏ธ)
In the meantime Iโll ask around ๐ค
No kidding. I am serious.
This is the third Soda Cup held in this year. At the first Soda Cup, everything was OK.
But many settings had been changed in the second Soda Cup. For example, the yellow whistle blows would not appear unless the contest was progressing. ( The yellow whistle blows appeared everyday in the first Soda Cup month). You could not check the profile of other opponents. Many problems arise from unnecessary changes. Studio did not test it by themselves and we are used to test it, eg. A/B testing in Soda Race.
If you read the thread about the second Soda Cup this year and the feedback poll of that, you will find there are full of complaints.
I made it to the quarter final๐
itโs super upsetting and extremely unfair, especially because I won the last Soda cup and had every intention of winning this one as well.
I could understand being disqualified if I forgot to play the game during the quarter finals but I literally logged on every single day and played for hours and hours, hoping to finally see that leaderboard. This is so unfair ๐ฅบ
Hey there @mattakus, just wanted to add this and say that I'm really sorry for this happening to you ๐ I've been in contact with the studio regarding this but because the tournament is kind of continuously rolling it's hard to solve it mid tournament.
They are still investigating this issue and hopefully they will find a solution soon so it doesn't happen again.
Thanks @LoFiGummy, thankfully and unexpectedly I found the Soda Race event reappear in my activities which is perfect timing since the second chance round is starting in 2 days!!! Hopefully there wonโt be any problems between now and the 19th and with any luck Iโll be back in the running to win the tournament, as I had originally planned ๐ค ๐ค
