this is an ongoing issue that every couple of weeks the shop is unavailable and the only thing that works is deleting and reinstalling the app but then I completely lose my progress in the daily bonus and have to start again from day 1. Any ideas? I’ve done all the clearing cache, logging out and back in and still nothing.

I am sorry to hear that you had to reinstall the game. If you see "shop not available" please check the following:
- do you have the latest game version (check apps)
- do you have a strong and stable internet connection
- do you have at least 2GB free memory storage to
- restart your device
