Candy Crush Soda Saga, events can disappear or not appear for a few reasons: they are time-limited, different players see different event rotations based on their progress, updates can sometimes cause temporary glitches in the event display, and the developers may intentionally rotate events to keep gameplay fresh; meaning some events will be available at certain times and then replaced with new ones
