The Score is Gone AGAIN

Here we go again…

I should’ve known the previous test was temporary. ONCE AGAIN the score is no longer shown in levels. The ONLY difference between the current test and the last test is that the stars still exist. And for right now the star bar does represent the score. However, the same thing happened in Candy Crush Saga and then another update changed the star bar to represent how far you completed the goals instead of the score. And I 100% expect the same thing to happen here again.

I don’t play Soda because of the 15 move bug right now and once again I’m even less incentivized to play. Truly unfortunate King didn’t listen to our feedback last time on this issue. Sigh…I’m so disappointed. I only got on cause my game updated and saw this and had to get screenshots.

And no, I still don’t care about that bear whatsoever. All he does is remind me how he replaced the score and I do not want him watching me play.

You're welcome Pretty Bubbles. I personally just don't really understand why they would remove a feature a second time after the removal the first time was met with near universal disapproval. This is Candy Crush, not Royal Match. The score makes it distinct from that game. There's no need to be even more like it (including having a bear watch you like the king does in Royal Match).

I wonder if changing it to be more like Royal Match somehow brings in more cash, which is why the changes keep going through.

The hiding of the score feature, along with the presence of the soda bear is yet another convergent trend of match-3 games nowadays.

"the star bar does represent the score" - that is good news. CCS had a similar case back in 2023, but nowadays even the graphical evidence of the score has been removed.
- In fact, you are assured three stars in CCS. You are given sugar stars if you completed a level with five or more moves to spare.
- Even worse, you are automatically given sugar stars on first tries. This made scoring fully meaningless!
- I currently have a 4100+ streak on CCS, with the last 494 livestreamed for you to see.
"I don’t play Soda because of the 15 move bug right now and once again I’m even less incentivized to play." - i found out they are levels delivered via live service. The configs clearly showed they have 15 moves, rather than some external bug overriding the moves counter. This is concurrent with the big green button affecting every Soda Islands players; I have completed exactly zero levels under this format.
"I still don’t care about that bear whatsoever" - looks bland. Bring back the score!
