Candy Crush Soda Saga app crashes on start up.
I recently logged out of Candy Crush Soda Saga in an attempt to get my friends list back, after doing so the game will now no longer launch, it just crashes at the loading screen. I have reinstalled the game twice but to no avail. I was playing on a PC with Windows 10 using the app downloaded from the Microsoft store. I have tried to load the game on another laptop but the same thing happens, all the other King games load and run ok but not Candy Crush Soda Saga. Help please.

Hello @Sniptweed Try the steps mentioned on the following thread....

I'm not sure that logging out has caused the issue, as I now find that the game app will not download and run on any laptop I have to hand even though other King games are fine. Clearing the browser cache may have an effect if you are playing online, but I can't see how it can make any difference to the performance of the downloaded app. I have over 8gb of RAM

Hi @Sniptweed and welcome to Soda community
Yes, I play on w10 app which is currently running as normal.
As for clearing cache, I usually do a disk clean up and delete only temporary and unnecessary files. More info here ๐
Not sure if it can help here much since reinstalling app doesn't.
For future reference, please keep open only one discussion for one issue, otherwise information and context of the issue get lost and mods will likely ask you the same questions again in trying to understand what's going on. thank you very much๐
I had reported your issue along the others but unfortunately I have no news to report back since we weren't able to get in touch with the community manager.
At this point, I can suggest you to contact Player Support as well https://soporto.king.com/contact
Since you said this started with logging out, how do you save your progress? Do you have a Facebook account or a King account (email + password)?

I understand @Sniptweed ๐.
Unfortunately we moderators haven't got a word yet on what's going on but you have every right to try to seek visibility for your issue still unsolved. ๐ Tagging using the @ symbol like I tagged you or quoting any moderator like you just did, helps with visibility ๐ค.
Thanks for the info. I'll try to ask again about your issue but I have no timeframe, I'm sorry. Did you contact Player Support from the link I gave you?

Well, this is disheartening.
But I assume it can also mean there's no widespread server issue currently affecting w10 players like the loading issue for players on king.com
Ok. Since this is affecting only your w10 app now as far as I'm aware, we have to find a way to retrieve your user ID associated to your account so it can be looked into. This number can't be found if w10 app can't load your game. However, you said the other King games are running normally and if you use the account with same credentials there, you can open any King game to find your user ID because it's still the same one.
how to find this number: here
I'll present this info to CM as well in the hopes we can decipher what's going on here
Additionally, I know players have not been reporting loading issues on mobile devices. Do you think playing on mobile is a possible option for you in the meantime?
thank you for your patience ๐

If I can't open the app, I can't find my user ID for Soda Saga and because I have found that I cannot use the same user name for other King games (it just tells me that that user name is already taken) they all have unique e-mail addresses and passwords. I can give you my user name and password for Soda Saga if that would help, although I would wish the details to be kept private. I may have a very old laptop that still has the app on, and I may be able to retrieve my user name off that, if I can get it working.
Thanks

Hi @Sniptweed no, no there's no need to share private information on this thread, the house rules of the community don't allow it to be public too (but if need be the private chat is available on this forum, just so you know ๐)
Also, I'm not sure your credentials would be useful here. Player Support uses the user ID number to locate the account in case of problems and also send rewards and refunds.
to avoid further issues I suggest to leave alone the apps with their own accounts.
If you manage to install any King game and enter your Soda credentials it would be fine.
Even your newest laptop is okay, unless you have installed all king games available in Microsoft Store?
