OMG - this seems to develop into a rocket science thing!
@all who were kind enough to try: I have NOT received one single add on the Soda app on my hard drive ... apart from one by a nickname called "nunu" -- is that one of you? Or maybe one of the few icons I was able to click & invite.
@Kerrie Thanks for your link. I tried to add you (by clicking) but what happened then was: it opened the Soda app on my own facebook account - and you might guess it already: no new friends there, and neither on my still active account here in the king com portal and none on my newly downloaded windows app.
sigh
I am just rather astonished that I did the same thing with my regular Candy Crush app, and it worked out like a charm. My whole friends list was transferred as well ... why the heck doesn't it work out on Soda?😳
And THEN!!! How can it be that a link expires? and if so, how long will a link with a code be active anyway?

@HaMa a personal link expires after 48 hours. So you might need to repeat all the steps of copying and pasting to get a new one since you can't click on other people's invite on Windows 10, unfortunately😅
We used to have a timeframe of 24 hours to share codes before, so getting 48 hours is a bit of a improvement 😅

Good to know that I have to renew my code and paste it here every 48 hours.
And even better to know, that @nunu is "one from here". So that gives me a bit of trust that things will work out, maybe slowly but they will.
I bought a new phone, and will have my son set it up for me next week. Then I will DL the Soda app on the phone and see, how far I can get with it. For the time being, I will just go through that stupid routine with getting new codes every 48 hours. 😉

This is really terrible to lose so many levels. I know how this feels, because over the years I had to start over with Soda several times (for a variety of reasons). Losing levels is ONE thing which I was spared when I did the transit to the windows app. But losing basically all friends is also quite lousy. In a week from now I will be able to DL the app on my new phone, then I can try to add friends by code, and I will surely add you (if by then you will have posted a valid code). Okay? 😉

Here is my new code, valid as of Saturday, 19th march, at roughly 4.00 pm CET (Central European Time) ... which makes it 10 or 11 a.m. Eastern.
