Unable to access lives from my friends

Unable to access lives my friends have given me. The display is messed up. I can see two lives from my friends, but tapping on them does nothing.

What do you mean with “the display is messed up” . Can you see all sent lives and you can only tap 2 but nothing happens? Could you provide me with a screenshot so that I can take a look at what you see and what the problem is? https://www.take-a-screenshot.org

I hope you can see this clearly. Look at where the heart is in the upper left and the gold bars in the upper right. Also, text in the message is messed up. This was from yesterday. It shows I had a life from a friend, but the Accept button didn't work.

Thank you for getting back to me @Wryter2000 . I’ve seen this problem before.
You can try the troubleshooting: provided you saved your progress with a King account, log out of the game - clear the cache -> not data that will delete your boosters - power off your device for at least 1 minute - restart your device - check for game and device updates - log back into the game. Also make sure you have at least 2GB free memory storage to run the game smoothly and try to connect to a WiFi connection instead of using cellular data.
Clear cache in Android: go to settings - tap on apps - tap on candy crush soda - tap on storage - tap on clear cache (not data❗️)
Clear cache in iOS: go to settings - tap on Safari - tap on Clear history and website data
If that doesn’t work, you can consider uninstalling and reinstalling the app. You will lose all your boosters, but your gold and progress will be recovered. Another player did this and after reinstalling he had no more problems.
You may also want to contact Player Support before uninstalling and reinstalling. If you happen to play on a mobile device or Windows app, you can contact directly from the device:
Open the game app —> tap on the blue gear
- Tap on the ? mark
-select a topic
-scroll down, tap on “contact us”

Thanks, bur I'm on a Kindle so the instructions you've kindly provided for clearing the cache and contacting Player Support won't work for me.

I'm also on a kindle and have the same messed up lives screen. I have done all the suggestions that you posted and even uninnstalled and reinstalled and the issue is still there. It has worked fine until just recently and I have not installed any new apps.
