how can I safely transfer my Soda game to a new tablet? I tried to log out of the game on my old tablet but it said I will go back to level 1 and I am on level 3769. Forgot to add I don't have the " don't lose your progress" disclaimer.

Firstly, it is important that you have saved your game progress through an account: King account or Facebook account. Once you have done that you will always find your progress by logging into your existing account.
Option A.- Create a King account:
Option B.- Connect the game to your Facebook account:
Next step to transfer your game progress:
1.- Enter your game on your old device.
2.- Back up your progress and connect to Facebook or to a King account.
3.- Install the game on your new device.
4.- Open the game on your new device, and choose the 'Already have a King account/login with email' using the email address and password you just saved (if you chose Option A), or click on the blue Facebook Connect button(Option B)

As I mentioned above, you cannot transfer your boosters to a new device. So if you received the rewards from Bake a Cake on your old tablet you should see them there.
Your gold bars, however, should have been transferred. You might want to replay a few levels to see if you see your gold bars.
You can also close the game app, restart your tablet, and log in again with the same credentials from your account. The boosters are not transferred, however you should see your gold bars as they are registered on your account.

I performed the steps as you suggested. It worked in so much as I am on the right level. BUT I lost all my tokens that I had received that whole day when my team baked the cake. Why did the tokens and bars not transfer?

Boosters, Extra Lives, and Extra Moves are not saved on our servers; they are saved locally on the device in which you received them. This means that, unlike Gold Bars and your level progress, they won't transfer across to your new device.
The good news is that if you still have access to the old device, everything will still be there!
