You get level pins (which are just the number of shots you can make at the other player's ships) when your teammates pass levels. So, when you choose teammates at the beginning, try to choose people who are most likely to be active when you are.

Oh, so when I pass levels I don’t get pins? Only when my teammates pass levels this allows me to get pins? I just passed 14 levels! No pins! 🤨

Hello Pen 🤗 not sure you had me on your team I did play yesterday but taking a break today 😅 maybe my teammates are also taking a break as I haven’t received many pins, plus my opponent sunk your ship 🙈 that means I can’t receive pins from you whether you are playing or not.

I have noticed some levels send more than one pin to your teammates probably depends on how much you play. Once I was sending 6 per game!! If I complete below level I send 3 pins.

If you click on the “i” at the top left, you will probably see you can get ammo by playing levels yourself 🙂

I really don’t know @DIBI Probably based on player feedback, a (temporary) different way of playing Shipmates has been rolled out to some players. I also have this variant in my game now. And yes, I realize that players who are at the end of the map will benefit less from this style of play.

I remember when Shipmates was first rolled out, there were many players who wanted to play it individually and not have to rely on other players to collect ammunition.

Thanks for sharing this info @Yosca . So now Shipmates is just like the "Competitive Rescue Buddies" event, and has nothing to do with "mates" as one cannot use friends as "shipmates". I am not sure how feedback is collected, but would like to express my negative feedback. And not as on the end of the map player. I am just on level 6063, but feel robbed of this community experience of playing in teams. If anyone knows of a way to influence bringing back the old Shipmates, let me know. 🙏
