Thanks again for all your feedback and for staying respectful.

The iteration we had was a work-around due to an unfortunate glitch, while the team kept working hard on a fix.

With that said, we have just managed to fix it and now you will be able to claim the throne as many times as possible. The event will still run for a day every day for the time being though.

I want to thank you all for the patience and to keep encouraging you to send feedback our way and help us make your experience better. I'll make sure we are here to read it and address it.

Hi everyone!

It looks like the pesky Bubble Gum Troll is at it again causing havoc! He has decided to temporarily change the rules and he now wants to keep his throne for longer and stop you getting his Sodalicious rewards.

What are the new rules?

You now have one chance a day to try to conquer the throne. Play the five levels to win the rewards. After crowning yourself, you will need to wait until the day after to have another shot at conquering it again.

You will not be able to sit in the throne multiple times a day. A king needs to rest!

If you have some questions around the new way the event will work for now, feel free to drop them in the comments. I'll do my best to answer each and every one of them.

Once again, thank you so much for being respectful around this and apologies for any inconveniences happening these days!

Hi everyone,

The issue around Bubblegum Hill has been proven to be a bit tricky. The event is for now gone and we are working on changes to it that will help tackle this situation.

I want to take the time to thank you all for staying positive and respectful, you are such a great Community! I'd also like to apologise in behalf of the studio and to let you know that we are working our hardest to make sure that the scenario is as optimal as possible.

I'm still locked out at present, on Android - even after trying stopping CC Soda / clearing cache / restart. Do I just need to wait a bit more or is there any specific action I shall take to get former behavior back?

Regarding @Alessandro_S 's comment (and @dalley 's), things might take a while for some of you. The studio is deploying it and has been doing so for a couple hours now but, given the size of our community of players, chances are that some of you need to wait a bit.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience but stay patient, soon this will be fixed. And if anything, happens, like always, you know how it goes! You let me know, and I pass your feedback on to the team.

If you read the wording of xarly's latest update (on page 1), it definitely sounds like a glitch, and they're trying to put a positive spin on it until they get it fixed.

I'm pissed!!! I haven't gotten to play Bubblegum Hill all day because of your dumb glitch and had me locked out. Apparently you are ready for people to stop playing this game. It's the only thing I've ever like about Soda and if I can't play it then I have no use for it.

It's been hours and I still can't play Bubblegum and yet others are playing because I can see the players names change on the throne. I think until they fix this glitch they should allow us access to this game until it's fixed. It's completely unfair that some people get to play and others are locked out.

king of the hill won’t reset, can’t play. Why?

I was told by makers of Soda that they'd compensate me for all the hammers I lost when bubblegum hill locked up on me. This is happening to me again for the third time. What's going on with this game. It's so frustrating!

I see others are disappointed with how the BGH will be played! I really hope you guys go back to the way we use to play. It gave us a chance of getting gold bars and more time to play. Hopefully with our feedback BGH is reset the way it used to be. Unsatisfied with the changes!

So, he used another of my Kindles and has beat the Hill, and was not blocked off from doing so again. He is calling you “lying (insert unpleasantness here” and I can not blame him. Explain yourselves, now please

My dad uses one of my Kindles to play this game and usually spends $50 each time the Hill comes up. For the past few weeks he has been locked out after winning once and is high upset with you. You did not even put a warning of this new rule on the game, very shady. Realize that you are now going to lose $200+ a month from him now. Btw I did email you when this first became a problem and only received a form letter response saying you would look in to it, even though you had intentionally done it and it was not a glitch.

However, it would not let me back in to start the levels over again.

I’m not sure why the changes have been made to BGH. I look forward to earning gold bars! I guess I won’t be playing candy crush as much anymore either☹️

Going to lose a lot of players with the new rules for Bubblegum Hill!!! I know I enjoyed it and will not be playing as much!!☹️

Ridiculous. Only once the throne and getting 1 gold bar 😠. And completed all levels now. Waiting for a new day 🙄. No fun anymore.

Played yesterday, able to get old behavior - got about 24 hammers in 6 hills, total of 10 gold bars, promptly used all of those hammers and bars to pass 7 out of the 15 new levels...

Not sure how in turn I get no daily booster anymore, but perhaps that's due to trying out the quests "official" workaround (which doesn't work for me) rather than my own.

HI @Bachmeier6, thanks for posting here in the community. I don't know how all of you players have been playing this challenge. I never get beyond the third one! If there are a lot of complaints, maybe the studio will change it again. But I'm not privy to that information.
