What’s happened my game got got reset I lost everything I built up plus it’s gone back to the old rewards game levels are different too. Plus can’t send or receive lives it’s a mess I’m on level 2789

I'm afraid I don't understand what kind of problem you're experiencing
If troubleshooting steps (shared above) don't help and Soda app is still not running smoothly you could try uninstalling it and reinstalling it from your App store as a last resort. This way Soda app returns to its factory settings and all possible app corruptions are deleted.
If you use a King account (simple email address + password) or Facebook account to save your progress, after reinstalling you'll be able to log back in to your account and find all your progress and gold bars right where you left off.
Note: if you don't use any account to save progress at all, then your progress is not being saved on King servers and it will be deleted after uninstalling.
Unfortunately uninstalling Soda app deletes boosters permanently (they're not saved on King servers, unlike progress and gold bars) but if they have been already deleted due to a glitch then there's nothing to lose, if I understand this correctly.
If you're experiencing technical problems which are related to your ipad, I advise you reach out to an ipad expert who can physically look into your device and has more resources than Soda community forum to better understand the issue and rectify it.

The actual issue is apparently I’m opening the candy crush soda app and playing candy crush saga , I’m playing on the iPad with Crome. weather or not this makes any difference I don’t know. Sorry I’m not that tech minded, any help is.very much appreciated, I will try your instructions and let you the outcome.

If boosters don't appear then it would seem they're permanently lost due to this glitch.
King can offer support and replacement for any you've purchased but not yet used.
How to contact Player Support from Soda app in mobile devices and Windows 10, 11 computers: launch soda app - visit settings- click "?" icon- visit "my game progress"- "how do I save progress"- scroll down and click "contact us". Make sure to select the correct topics: "lost progress or items" and "I lost lost items". Explain your problem and send.

If you own Android mobile, visit device Settings - Apps - Candy Crush Soda Saga - Storage - Clear Cache. Be careful not to click "clear data" which deletes your boosters
If you own Apple mobile, visit Settings - Safari - Clear History and Website Data

Yes I lost all boosters but managed only to get levels back this all happened after a secrurity update on my iPad.

Which device are you using? If you are on a mobile device, can you check the App version you have right now?
Few questions...
1) You said you lost everything! Did you mean the boosters or the level progress?
If it is the boosters, did you reinstall the game or change your device? Did your game crash?
2) What do you mean by "it gone back to old rewards"? Are you talking about a feature?
Can you show me a screenshot of your rewards and the feature?
3) I need to see screenshots of your game levels too please!
