Can’t Use Other Apps while Playing

Why can’t I use other apps when I’m playing Candy Crush Soda? I have been listening to iHeart Radio but whenever I open Candy Crush Soda it mutes out iHeart Radio preventing me from listening to the radio while I’m playing….hence, I don’t play. I do not have this issue/problem with any other Candy Crush game, it is only with the Soda version. This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever….

Candy Crush Soda Saga is developed by its own developers team so features can be different in King games developed by different people 🙂
Do you mean the situation changed recently in Soda game and you were able to use multiple apps while playing Soda before?
Which device do you use to play Soda?

That does not help me. Why do I have to turn the sound off in the game? I do not have to turn the sound off in any of the other games I play (Candy Crush Saga, Candy Crush Jelly& Candy Crush Friends as well as Cookie Jam & Cookie Jam Blast), it is ONLY Candy Crush Soda that I have this issue with….so it does not make any logical sense to me why I would need to turn the sound off in Soda but not in any of the other games.
Furthermore, I have always turned on iHeart Radio prior to opening/playing any of the games & I loose the radio as soon as I open Soda (but not any of the other games). Therefore, don’t tell me about having to go back & forth restarting the game when I don’t have to do anything whatsoever with any of the other games.

Thanks a lot for letting us know this. I actually sent this directly to our team working on the sound in game and they agree this is not a great experience and will work on solving it so that it works as in the other games 😁 It might take a while though, but please know we're on it!

Let me just add, FYI, that I play at various times of the day (depending on my work schedule but get a few rounds in before going into work in the mornings) I have a morning radio show I listen to….I genuinely have it on a radio (when I’m home) but if I’m out-of-town (like I was on vacation from Friday-Tuesday) I have to use iHeart Radio to listen to it, hence I wouldn’t/couldn’t play Soda in the mornings when I was away (other than Saturday & Sunday). It’s frustrating when I could do both with everything except for 1 specific app/game but it has always been like this. I’m pretty sure I had completed about this before but never got any response whatsoever the previous times I had completed about it.

I suddenly started getting the same problem with Soda. Up until today I could listen to Audible books, YouTube videos, Rumble and Substack audio while playing Soda Crush. Now out of the blue the game pauses any and ALL audio from other apps. Please help or I’ll have to quit.
