If you really count the time from pressing the Soda app, the time do not reduce even though missing the home screen, because it need more time to load into the gameplay screen to counter the home screen. You can take a video to test it by yourself, not only accept the model answer provided by official.

Yep it's as @Yosca writes here @michimune, the main point of removing the home screen is a part of an ongoing initiative to make it faster and easier for players to get into the gameplay.
The testing of removal of the home screen makes it so that you directly move to the Diorama-screen which should remove some time for you to get into the game. This of course varies depending on the device, so what you experience on your device compared to say older devices might be different.
So for players with high-end devices, they might not feel as much difference, hope the clarification helps! 😊

Because the device need more time to load into the diorama-screen directly than before. You can take a video and then compare the time difference before and after by yourself.😊
