Hi there, the feature has not been discontinued and the studio is currently investigating if something may have gone wrong with the feature.
Last week some fixes were added to this event, and right now it's being checked to see if something might've gone wrong while doing so!
Overall though, it's good to know that the events in the game is not the same for everybody as the studio tests the balance of features and events in the game a lot. So thanks for your patience and understanding, as we'll update once we know more!

I got another update now from the studio! They have identified two issues regarding this issue, to be able to solve it though we need to collect a bit of more information!
- Is 4-in-a-row completely gone, or does it show as "Come Back Later"?
- What did you do before noticing this issue?
Some of the things we're looking out for is players who just completed a 4-in-a-row and if things changed for you just as the event got completed. For example, if you completed the event, and tried to start another one - or accidentally pressed away from it!
As always, if you experience any issues, please make sure to check that you're on the latest version of the game! Go to the store and see if you have any updates pending, as it may solve your problem!

The Studio have identified two issues regarding 4 in a Row and to be able to solve it, the CM has some questions:
- Is 4-in-a-row completely gone, or does it show as "Come Back Later"?
- What did you do before noticing this issue?

In my case @LoFiGummy I haven't played 4 in a Row for a while, and every time I got the pop-up in the game to play 4 in a Row, I pressed "no". Then "Come back later" was displayed and the icon was grayish. This has remained so.
