When it does that for me, I close/restart the game. Then it's usually back again when it loads a 2nd time.

Please check for game and device updates, then replay a few levels. I've experienced the same thing; my right side of the game was also gone after the last update. After I replayed a level, the Team icon was back.
I seen that screen before. For me, to get everything back, just play couple games…doesn’t have to be new levels.
