Help! I cannot play in landscape mode (test ended)
Hello Sodalicious people!
If you play on an iPad or tablet, you may prefer to play with the game board appearing horizontally or in ‘landscape mode’.
However, the Studio is running a test, so this option may not be available at the moment, and they'll only have the "vertical/portrait" option.
This is not a fault and we hope it doesn’t affect your enjoyment of the game too much.🤗

When I open Candy Crush on my iPad the game screens are displayed in portrait mode. Once I select a level to play it shifts to landscape, but goes back to portrait when you return to the “map” screen. Is King going to fix this issue for iPad OS?

Hi @fourchrisi This is how it is now. Like you said, the map is in portrait but you can still play in landscape mode, just open a level and the screen will rotate back. It has changed when a new feature came up: Kimmy’s Arcade. You can only play the Arcade in portrait mode.

No sorry @fourchrisi This isn’t an issue so that’s why nothing wil change so far we know. It is inconvenient but we can still play in landscape! (I also play on iPad, so I understand)

Well that is a shame that this will not be fixed. Very annoying to have to constantly shift your device to see the screen and surprised that there are no plans to correct the issue. I am a developer myself and know that this can be corrected. Disappointing...

I can understand your disappointment. As our dear @Yosca says, it's not an issue to be corrected but a decision that was made by the Studio- however, that doesn't mean it won't change in the future!

I was having the same problem (very irritating by the way ).. but now the game doesn’t even switch to landscape to play... not cool! Please fix! Why would you even make it this way.. I can understand if something only can be played in portrait, but don’t limit everything else for the one thing... make it auto rotate for that game....... makes more sense and a lot of happy crushers!! 🙏🙏
