Johnny, You did not answer the question, and I'm having the same problem. I understand how the game is supposed to work: you unlock a level, and you get the prize box. Well, when the level is unlocked, it does not award the prize. I have a screenshot to show you, if there is a way to send it.

I know on the Facebook version it will show the leader based on the amount of stars you have per chapter. Perhaps this is what you're seeing?

Did you perhaps have a time bomb go off?

It could be that you did not score enough to reach the 1st star. I just replayed that level to check it out. I got both ingredients, but only barely scored high enough. Getting both ingredients on its own does not win the game, the score is also a factor.
