  2. if the first chunk that drops is in the middle column look at hitting rocks in the other 2 columns by making words adjacent to the rocks
  3. look to make vertical blasters on the last remaining chunk
  4. let's say we have a row with three rocks that need 3 3 & 4 hits ... look to make a vertical blaster on the column where the rock needs 4 hits
  5. an 8-way blaster in the column where the move stealers were positioned at the start can act as a horizontal blaster ... and can hit rock(s) with its diagonal blaster and thus may reduce the need for one or more additional horizontal blasters
• ideal first blaster ... a 4-way horizontal blaster that will hit every move stealer
• ... a 2-way vertical blaster that hits every move stealer is okay but no rocks are hit
• take your time ... look for the best 4-way horizontal blaster every turn

• GENERAL NOTES FOR MYSTERY LEVELS

1. Eugene noticed this: ... if the letter you need isn't on the board - play a word with a crown and watch where the crown goes. It will turn a tile into a letter the mystery word needs (and I think it turns it gold too - it seemed to for me)
2. Jussa noticed this: ... the game does not stop at MAZE and WATER ... if you re-play that level for the third time, you will get a challenging board (possibly with Move Stealers) ... a single Mystery Level will get progressively more difficult the more times you play that level
3. blasters may hit letters that are accepted for the mystery word ... still pondering to see if this always happens

• sequence:
  1. betty will show ? ? ? ? ? as a new mystery word
  2. play tiles(like we usually do) to make a word that betty accepts
  3. the tiles you play will populate the ? ? ? ? ? ... when they are present in the mystery word
  4. for example ... DEAL ... the ? will be replaced by the letters 'd e a l' that are included in the mystery word
  5. continue until the mystery word is complete(all green)
  6. repeat this for the 3 mystery words for this level

• ... Jussa found that a move is often saved when removing move stealers when 2 are removed for one side

• one apporach ... get rid of exclamators with an artifact and hope for playable move stealers
• another approach ... get an 8-way blaster to hit all 3 plates
• crowns take out exclamators, traps and codices ... randomly(until 2 of the 3 types are gone)
• 3 star approach using barney
  1. the move stealers must be playable ... or quit and try again
  2. keep playing until the first shuffle ... a shuffle with 6 or 7 moves left will give you another shuffle later on
  3. look for a monster word with the gold tiles ... or save the gold tiles for after the first shuffle
  4. the first few moves ... create crowns ... take out the 4 exclamators closest to the plates, if possible
  5. after the first shuffle ... get as many points as possible with the gold tiles
  6. do all of this while trying to get plates #1 & #2 soon after the first shuffle ... then go after the dreaded plate #3
• Michael's approach:
  1. start with an artifact that provides extra move(s)
  2. early game ... go after move stealers & exclamators
  3. try to create a vertical blaster that can take out two mousetraps and an exclamator
  4. a methodical approach of forming words with the right blaster angle and position
  5. ... sometimes passing up longer words for better positioned ones
