Confirmation email

Hey I'm new to the site and trying not to sound like a dummy but I got registered and it said I'd be getting a email in order to confirm mine problem is I still haven't got the email so I went back and hit resend a few times but still nothing and I have looked in every folder in my email.....any help would be appreciated. Thanks
