Vampire Barney does not work.

When fully upgraded, Vampire Barney turns 5 tiles golden at the start of the game. These tiles physically look gold, but do not actually double the word score. Can you work on this?

Follow up information: I started a level and 3 tiles got turned golden right next to each other at the start. I made a 3 letter word with those 3 letters ("bag") and it used up a turn but did not give me any points. It seems as though the tiles that turn gold actually don't count as points at all because I attempted other 3 letter words around it (before ultimately playing the word "bag") and the scores were as if I was making a 3 letter word but only 1 or 2 of the letters actually counted.

Another update: progress, but not solved. The tiles that Vampire Barney turns gold now double the word score, but the letters themselves still do not add to the word score. I can still make a 3 letter word that counts for 0 points. The other letters in the word get doubled, but the gold letters still count as 0.

For example, I'm playing a game now where I can make the word "JEAT". The J, E, and A were all turned gold by Vampire Barney. It has a J and 3 gold tiles, so it should be worth tons of points, but the whole word only counts for 320 points. It's only taking the T and the fact that it is 4 letters long and has 3 gold tiles to get the points.

Still the same issue as the previous comment. It's a cool new artifact and I'd like to be able to use it.
