Can't level up after beating Rancid. Beat him twice and I still have to re-play the Rancid level. W

Why can't I level up after I beat Rancid, got his key.  I have done this twice and it still repeats the Rancid level.. Also, when i send or request lives, the game freezes.

1) what level # is this? Do you see stars on that Rancid level?
2) Will you be able to post a screenshot of your current Map of the game?
3) what device are you using to play the game?
4) If you are playing on a Mobile device, did you install the current available update?
