I'm from and in the United States, and English is the national language. In English.. this is how we say "Merry Christmas" and "Happy New Year".
Merry Christmas to everyone celebrating and Seasons Greetings to those celebrating something else.

Hy @PummyRaj
Christmas' as it used to be
This year I wish for
Christmas the way it used to be.
No running towards the presents.
No gift giving without meaning.
I do not wish for an expensive thing,
That I don't even care about.
I just want a tiny little piece
Of the lost Christmas magic back.
And a frosty, clinking holy night,
that fresh snow made wintry.
And brighter than usual the stars:
That's how I'd like it to be for Christmas.
Probably also the ringing of uncounted bells,
That lure at midnight to the night.
Full of joy filled the hearts,
Children's happiness in the glow of candles.
If only this night could be consecrated!
Not overloaded with wealth - rather small!
Then one could hear under all the tinkling
perhaps once again angels sing.
Oh, I wish myself this year
Christmas as it was for me as a child.
Once upon a time, it was not so long ago,
For us so little so much more...
it is a beautiful poem that rhymes in German very nice unfortunately in English not .
On 31.12. at 12.00 p.m. we usually meet with friends on the street and dance waltzes in the New Year. The New Year is traditionally rung in with the ringing of the Pummerin from St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna, which is broadcast on the radio. I don't like fireworks that much. I don't find it necessary to scare the animals at night.
Merry Christmas and good luck and health in the New Year.
