Dear Farmers,
We are starting a new thread (and will merge the one that was started as well with this) as the old Hero Mode test was resurrected and causing confusion. It keeps it neater.
What is the hero mode?
Pass a level (get to the first star) and any remaining moves can be used on cropsies that do not lose their extra points (like when you match on grass, or have cascading cropsies.
What is the hero mode skip?
Simply put, exactly that. You don't use your remaining moves up. Keep an eye on the remaining moves on a level. This will be highlighted by a special glowing effect (triggered by blue beams of light hitting target cropsies on a sparkling board) which will increase the value of the collected cropsies.
We are getting a lot of feedback for this and thanks to @gordan10 for starting the thread with their thoughts and getting the conversation started!

Does anyone else have the misfortune of having the new Hero Mode in their game? Basically, FHS robs you of your remaining moves, chooses some cropsies and changes their value to +9, and the game is over. I'd like to basically garner some votes to end this "test" before it becomes a reality.
In my example below, I had 12 remaining moves. Ten cropsies values were changed to +9 and the level was completed. That's all well and good if you're just trying to complete a level, however, we all know this isn't always the case.
Many times we are trying to collect a certain cropsie for a quest or a contest. Or we're trying for three stars which, unlike in my example below, is sometimes only obtainable by collecting high value cropsies in regular hero mode.

Hi @gordan10 I won't tag right now, for this reason. It was a test that the studio started running....and then took away as it wasn't working properly following our (Mods) feedback. They noticed something wasn't behaving as it should be. So. We knew it was coming back but strange to start it over the weekend.
However, you made the same points we did! Do you have an option to click on it? That wasn't working when I had it.
I will pass it over to @QueenB and see if we can find out some more information and then we can likely tag. We tend not to tag if only a very small percentage of players get it initially that is why we hadn't mentioned it yet. Bear with us and thank you 🤗

Yeah, I thought I liked the idea when I heard it was coming, but then quickly realised I didn't. But the cropsies that were meant to be zapped weren't being zapped and the click here, didn't do anything!
I have raised it with the CM and asked on all counts. Some levels you might want to get 3 stars in after you only scraped by with 1. I hoped it might work more like candy ☹

This same mode appeared in my game yesterday with no option to turn it off. I hate it so much, I googled what it was and created an account here just to also voice how much I dislike it and want it either removed or a toggle put in place. I will discontinue playing until this is resolved.
