Are you playing the game on Facebook browser (Google Chrome, Edge, etc.,) or the App version that is downloaded through Microsoft Store?
If you are playing the Browser version, it is very easy to find your ID and you do not have to go through any of those steps! Below is a screenshot from my game⬇️
Your Game ID is located at the bottom of the screen as I have marked in the box and pointed with that Red arrow. Click on that "Find ID" words and your ID number will be revealed.

I am playing on my laptop, Windows 11. I am unable to find my game ID number. Directions say to go to app and click on three lines. What three lines? The only thing I see is to expand/collapse. There is nothing that identifies which version of game. I don't have the app downloaded on my phone.

Same issue appeared in Candy Crush Saga also but, in a large scale! I haven't seen many complaints in Farm though!!
This issue seems to be from Facebook itself. But, let me report to our Community In-charge and find out if they have any information about this issue.

Yes, it's on Farm Heroes Saga. It started on Saturday, I think. At first I thought it was a problem with my wifi so I restarted my computer. It still didn't work. I gave up after numerous tries and then tried again the next day. I generally restart my computer every day but still can't make a purchase.

I've been having the same issue for four days now. I play on my laptop and have cleared my cache and restarted my laptop every day. I click on a purchase and get a message that says "There was a problem. Try again later."

This game has changed. It's so much harder with less ways to earn lives. I have reached level 5350 I am now deleting the game. I've had enough so thanks for ruining it by making so many negative and unhelpful changes
I've tried contacting support and they're hopeless. Not addressing the issue or answering my questions. The latest temporary event where you needed to collect logs, disappeared from my game.
