Hello @Crazy Cat Lad - As much as I like cats and anything cat related - when it comes to having a pet at home - it's dogs for me.  Besides which my husband is definitely not a cat person.  Dogs are so forgiving and non-judgmental and eager to please - not the case with most cats.  I will admit that cats can have personality with a Capital P and can express disdain very well with a single look and make you feel guilty for something they did. Whereas dogs look cute/adorable/sad when they want a treat or a belly rub/attention and just want someone to play with or someone's lap to share. 😊🤗🐨

 I think T S Eliot described cats very well in some of his poems and "How to address a cat".😊😁

Besides all of the obvious reasons for wanting a dog, one of the joys of having a dog is being able to take them for walks. I get outside several times a day getting some exercise and occasionally seeing my neighbors too. And they are always so happy to go for a walk, I can't help but laugh!
