Compensation for Microsoft Payment Errors

@Crazy Cat Lad I received an email with the above title that reads:

Here at King we have identified that you tried to carry out a purchase in Pet Rescue Saga, but our payment method failed. Due to this, we have decided to compensate you for your troubles with the following Microsoft Gift card you'll see below.

It's lists a unique code number and there is a "Redeem Here" button.

When I click on the button it takes me to a Microsoft login. Once there, there is no indication that I have a credit or any instructions of how to redeem the gift card.

I did some additional searching online and found instructions for redeeming a Microsoft gift card.

I received the same email. I didn't click but would love to know if this is legit.

I does appear to legitimately be from King. When I replied to the email asking for instructions on how to redeem, I received a reply from Kingfo <kingfo@auto.king.com>

stating:

How about you tried these steps (Purchase Issue/Problem - Any Devices) that I hope this helps. 😊

If it's still not worked, you can click on "Contact Us" then you ask a problem and send Game ID (How to find your Game ID) that I hope they help you but it taken longer.
