Thank you @rebelchild. Like @EnergizerBunny, I've watched the video several times unsuccessfully. I've also read the detailed reply from @SApple2, but still can't get my head around actually making the right moves to complete it. I think I may well abandon this challenge until I have a clear head. Thanks again, Jo.
You're very welcome my dear friend @CassD ๐ค Take it easy. I know you have a lot in your mind. But if you're able to do it today, follow the video of @Lynette step by step below. I found this just now. I was looking for something that can help you that is simpler to follow. Then viola, I saw this. This video is exactly what the challenge for today except in different colors. I hope you can complete Week 3.
edited to add, thanks @SApple2 - I couldn't remember if I'd made an example so was making a new one when you posted ๐
Hi @EnergizerBunny and @CassD the way to 'cover the board' is to collect groups of blocks until the blue outline is covering the board.
To make the outline expand all you need to do is make a match that has at least one block within the blue lines.
The example below is usually Sunday's daily challenge and one of the easier ones as it starts with quite a few big groups of blocks already.
๐ You're just that good! You can complete and create one on the spot! ๐ I on the other hand have been struggling in some of the levels to the point of requesting or asking for help a lot lately. ๐
Thanks for the tutorials. I bookmarked your YouTube channel. I'll make very good use of it. ๐ค
Thank you so much for taking the time to explain in great detail along with the examples. Reading and watching the video that @rebelchild sent even putting the two side by side, I still can't figure it out. I even had my daughter try to explain it to me without any success If I get another chance I am going to try and play the game again.
Thank you so much.๐
Thank you so much for the video. I am going to try one more time if I get chance. For some reason I am having a issue trying to understand the concept of this game with the blocks. I spent last nite reading and watching your video without any idea what I am supposed to do with those blocks. I know it is something simple, I'm just not seeing it.๐
You and @SApple2 have been a great help.
Thank you again.
@CassD and @EnergizerBunny maybe this step by step picture example will help.
See the blue outlined square ? This blue outlined needs to cover as many squares as possible on the board. To do this you need to connect colors that are in the square with colors that are the same as the ones in the blue square.
So if I click on the red square, the blue outlined will grow to cover more of the board
Now you need to keep eliminating blocks until you have a block of the same color inside the blue outline that is also outside of the blue outline.
It took me several moves to finally get a color that matched a color inside the blue outline. Next I would click on the red block to make the blue outline spread
See how the blue outline increased in size? Now I keep eliminating blocks under the blue outline until again I have a color in side the blue outline that matches a color outside the blue outline to make the outline spread
It took a couple of moves until I got matching colors of purple. When I click on the purple blocks the blue outline will spread and increase in size
Keep eliminating blocks to create blocks that match inside and outside the blue outline
Finally I got a match with the green squares
See how the blue outline is spreading?
Next you would click on the blue block to increase the outline
Does this help explained better?
