I think personally if the community managers had a problem, they would say so. It's all about encouraging players to post regardless. Demanding the way that you want them is not going to encourage people to post. It will put people off from suggesting ideas or tagging anyone to help. That is why I never tell anybody not to tag me even though it is players I have not seen because they are playing different games. I appreciate them trying to help.

The only time I will even ask people not to tag is the CMS when a well meaning player has tagged them and the answer to contact support had already been given.

The CMS will edit posts and close posts or direct @Elsa or one of us to close it on their behalf if need be. There are a lot of websites out there with the same issue of people not reading posts and starting a new thread, you will not be able to stop it here because you want it stopped. Players have to have places they can feel happy posting not to worry if they are posting where they should not be ๐Ÿคท you can ask nicely that they try but not get mad when they fail.

I have more and more the feeling that what I am really about is not understood. Tried to share it over and over again. The players vote and then it is closed because the contribution or the idea already exists. Then that's the way it is. Only I feel sorry for the players, they vote and it closes. So players could say "why should I vote when it closes"? I think about the players, so I wanted to avoid chaos. I just wanted to check beforehand whether the player lists could be used. It was just well thought of by me. Nothing else!!! Then everything will continue as before. Pity!!!๐Ÿ˜”

    Gday @Spinnifix @DieOmimi @lilikoikisses

Oh you first three have been reading my mind and maybe telepathically - my note book roflol

Everything about what you're saying is fantabulous 5x over and triple!!!!!!

We need to start right at the very first click. Both the community icon in the games (should be more unified) and the pathway from King. Both should lead to a sign-up / log-in page.

There you should be only able to choose between support help centre or community. That's it. All game tech issue, purchases, connection issues, complaints, lost boosters etc should go to support and be removed/transferred from community posts.

The Community icon should take you through a 3 step sign -up process and NOT be able to post UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED THEM. Or Log-In if you are already a member.

Step 1: You know what the community is about and what its goal is,, what is expected of you as a Community member in a House Behaviour Guide (what is and is not acceptable and who you answer to if you break them.( Read Only)

Step 2: Read and accept the Community "How - to' Guide....How to post in each area, posting off-topic and repeat posting- Why Not!, how to bold, tag, translate, link etc, Descriptions of each area and where and how to find it and who manages it , how to earn badges, level up and what the levels are in the community and how to post ones you've earned etc (Read Only). (Yes both guides should be available once in The Community, in green permanently as Read Only, without any click "here" nor reposting of it by others ---this avoids navigation issues, long and confusing pathways and ending up somewhere different (possibly in another game area)

Step 3: agree to terms, conditions, behaviours and then sign-up, allowing you to enter. This completely takes care of the posting before you read and navigating off - topic with the "here" link before you've finished reading. (which I did!!!)

Don't get me started on the changes that are needed once entering, this is just the start. This is all just from what issues I've faced since I've gotten here and what experience I would have preferred. So much lost time! Simplify!!! Prevention is better than a cure.

I have an 8 seater table in my study, I can so imagine us discussing this, I'm so excited my brain has ideas and drawings coming in and out at light speed lol

Love you guyz already lol Like-minded

    Hello Channie! @channie8

Please do not be angry. I have read your text and understood it, but I forgot what this post is about. I think the part of you should be deposited in my action. To improve the community. Here is what I want, that you check beforehand and then store the tagging lists and ask the players to vote.

    Hope it came across understandably!

You talked about some ideal forum registration.

You did not take into account one point.

After each long text, there is an "OK" or "I agree" button.

If tomorrow I register with the community according to your rules, what will prevent me from just skipping all this long text with tips and rules? I'll just press the button.

And that's all. And then everything will be as it is now. I write what I want and where I want.

    Gday to all

Yes, that is a very valid point you bring up, I hear it, some very well might do that I agree.

However, if they are read only and no-one else can repost them, they will have to re-read them to learn how to post, level up, about the community etc Keeping it neat and tidy in one place. Not cluttering up the community with needless navigation pathways that can lead you anywhere at al!! It also stops repeat post and people posting "how too's" and "here's" just to get points and level up

In the end the discresion is up to the individual member as to how they act but to me, It will reflect who you are as a person, a member and whether or not you are a team player with the Community's best interests at heart or your own. It's a "culture" thing.

At the end of the day each member is responsible for their own reputation....QUOTE King.com: "Being a Kingster isn't only what you do, it's how you do it"

@channie8 we do already have house rules. As with many sites you have to abide by them in order to use the site in which case if you break the rules, the CMs can therefore block your account.

If posts are irrelevant they can be removed by the cms.

But irrelevant posts are not always the same to everyone. I know for a fact many of us have asked about posts and being told that they are fine. Sometimes people want to post a lot so that they can change avatars for example. And if people wanted to be a superstar, 15000 posts saying hi and nothing else, is not going to make them one.

At the end of the day it is not down to ambassadors like Spinnifix or the superstars or players how the community is run. Its down to King and the Community managers of who's site it is. We can make suggestions and feedback but they ultimately decide. And while we might not always agree, we are all guests here. The point is that we should be being friendly and accepting of all. No forum is completely clean and clutter free and the only ones that are, are not welcoming ๐Ÿ™„

I really appreciate @Spinnifix's efforts to make this forum perfect or just make this forum better.

But I think Spinnifix solves the problem from the wrong side.

When a person creates a topic (in Ideas) and asks @Diamond Lim to add tags to the topic, does Diamond Lim have to check if an idea is relevant or not, was it already on the forum or not?

Nonsense. On the part of Diamond Lim, this is just a kind gesture.

I have already said that in Ideas this problem can be solved by pre-moderation. But this is not interesting to anyone. (When I first came to the forum, I was very surprised that this is not here).

Ideas can only be published after being reviewed by a competent expert.

Or complain that you were called 2-3-4-5-6-7 times to read what you have already read in Ideas.

    -----------

    @channel8

    I read your message.

But again I did not understand why I must read everything when registering.

Imagine. I don't want to read. I just scroll and press the button. Nobody can make me read everything you want me to read. Nobody.

I do not understand how you can make a person read all of your rules.

    It's impossible.

You come up with good ideas. But this is idealism. And it doesn't work in real life.

Gday to you all, I hope you are doing well.

I hear your points the way you have heard mine and understand completely. However, these things shouldn't stop us from being innovate and creative. Using best practice to move forward in at least making something function with greater ease and better quality, doesn't always mean you perfectly fix it, just a continuous road to improvement on big and little things. Some areas overlap. It's not being unfriendly or condemning the CMs to voice, what could be great vehicles for change. In fact King encourages these discussions that's why they have updates and improvements and courses on team building and leadership. It wants people who can not only generate ideas, but motivated as a team player to those ideas implemented, with speed and quantity. Like I said, touring King. com is something you won't be disappointed in and will learn a lot and be inspired to do better and expand your expertice
