Interesting to read all the comments here and how some agree and some do not. Sometimes if you look at the bigger picture then all is not great with the changes for me.

A lot of the GM know me and my intake on things. Points don't really matter in the scheme of things it is mostly about the helping in the community that should take precedent., but for me as a person i am goal orientated, nice to have things to aim for whether that's answers ,points, badges, reactions etc. Thats me as a person you cannot change that and i have always done the honest and upfront way

So points for answer milestones sounds great at first look but i have already way surpassed 500 accepted answer and would be surprised if not got the 1000 or damn close. do my points get updated and then my rank. Then what ? might take me to 40,000+ points if i am lucky but then bigger picture ULTIMATE LEGEND 500,000 points max for any answer 2 points am 460,000 points short and the task of getting to here is ridiculous for anyone in my eyes. No matter how much you love the community and the people in it.

Also think it would have been nice to warn people of the demotions or did it in a way nobody got demoted but the statuses were changed higher up.

Again only my opinion and some may agree and others not but thats part of the community to discuss these things

I 💯 agree with you @Lady_Choo 🤗 on the fact that I think this will dissuade the multiple accounts thing from happening and about the fact that the whole point of being here is to help others & each other and to have fun.

With points, I go back & forth. Sometimes I care, sometimes I don't. I don't live by them but I don't mind them when they come in.

The one thing I do think we need to consider is that some players care about the points a whole lot, which I think is perfectly fine. For many, they serve as a motivation to stay around, to post useful and fun stuff, to engage with others. And, for many of them , their rank in the Community is a big deal. ... Since those points are what determine a player's rank in the Community, it seems a little unrealistic to think someone could make some of the new milestones within their life time but I guess we'll have to wait and see what is what once the new system starts being "alive", you know?

I really do not understand why points for helping are only given in the support section? People ask for help all over the community? Help them where you can, where they ask? Why not, seems like a good plan?

Do we forget the game/games/PEOPLE in search of points and praise? 🤔🐻

Can someone better explain what this is about? I don't understand what demoted account or place you are on your game means. Please try not to give such a vague statement like "demoted to a lower lever" without saying what is going on. I read some of the statement before leaving this and I saw more of it's okay, why or also what is this about. Please someone explain! Thanks

@Lady_Choo Hi, I do get you reply around the multiple accounts and its the Bain of the community especially when theres one certain person doing most of it, but i do not see how this will stop it. still accepted answers get points for milestones so really probably more likely to create more to get to them milestones. Hope i am wrong, but again this is in the house rules so why not just eject the people doing it. solves the problem and no issues around demotions etc

I think the new system is a good idea moving forward, but I also think it’s unfortunate that some had to be demoted. We ( those who didn’t cheat the old system 😉) work hard to go up in ranks and for some, it’s to be acknowledged for the efforts you gave to make this community a wonderful place, so I can understand why some are hurt.😕

I like the idea of changing the level 1,2,3,4,5 to something else, more meaningful than just a number. The feeling of being valued is more important than the points ( which can take a while to get) a sense of pride, I made it to junior legend instead of level 4 ( exp.)

I would still come to the community even without points or ranks, I love the people and I love helping and it’s a big part of my life now, that’s more important 🥰🐰
