You can ask to need more lives to your friends (players) when you don't have lives left. Then you can also click on Mail/Indox icon when your friends (players) send/ask lives to you on this game.
You can also send lives to your friends (players) from pop-up of send lives' notification when you start playing this game. And also send lives to them on leaderboard when you complete any levels. 😊
You can also check this information for similar your problem here (Not receiving any Lives or did you lose all stored Lives?) that I hope you can understand to read it.

I wish to add on to Ms Lim's explanation above.
In each game, the maximum/full lives are set to 5. Thus, if you click accept on the lives stored in your inbox, it would not be added to the full lives but will still be stored in the inbox for future use. Only accept the lives from your friends when you are out of lives. Also, make sure accept it one at a time instead of 5 at once unless you are certain that the 5 lives would be fully used up in the super hard level.

Me too. This isn't the first time. When they lift the throttle, I collect scores of lives. This week, it's taken me all week to collect 10. I usually quit games when they get too greedy. Taking a break. Will check back in a couple of weeks. If I'm still throttled, I plan to delete game from all devices.
