Interesting Facts About Sleep… Bet You Didn’t Know Most Of Them

My sweet friend, I posted a comment about sleep apnea and then removed it as it was very personal to me, but after reading your comment here I return to say something about my previous deleted comment......
My brother had sleep apnea and for years he had to use a mask and machine to sleep as he would quit breathing at night while sleeping...he was a lot older than me so I kinda looked up to him growing up....one night his machine somehow quit working and didn't put out the oxygen needed for him to be able to breathe and his wife didn't know that it had stopped as she had grown to the custom of the sound....as it stopped he went into cardiac arrest and she tried to assist him with helping him with CPR and calling 911 ( ambulance service) but it was with no avail he was gone.....
Sleeping and health goes hand in hand along with exercise and trying to eat right....I try apologize for bringing this up on your comment my dear sweet friend, but your message here just brought everything back to me as I remember my brother and your comment about sleep apnea....please forgive me my friend ♥️💯

Hello dear friend, I’m so sorry to hear about your brother, that’s devastating, I feel for you and his poor wife 😢 My condolences for you and your family 🥰
I have had my machine failed a few times when the power goes out and was awoken right away ( I usually don’t sleep deep) I also take narcotics daily for years now so my machine is really important. Eating well is important but exercising is not something I can do ( aside from walking) because of my brain surgery, they added a patch to widen the dura mater ( membrane that surrounds the brain and the spine) so if I overdo it, I get terrible headaches and pseudo seizures ( those aren’t fun🤨).
Sorry to have brought it all back for you, I try not to think about what could happen, there’s too much that can and will happen in the near future, a wheelchair is definitely going to happen but 🤷🏼♀️ I’ll wait and see what happens. You never know what can happen in the future.😊🐰

You didn't bring anything bad as I thought about the good times with him although most of them were him picking at me as I was really skinny, and he was strong....and although I remember everything it was also bittersweet to remember him in all.....
I pray the best for you my Northern friend and never let hope discourage you from what medical breakthrough can be around the next find as they have come far with many different kinds of treatments for many different things so let's hope there's one coming for you my dear friend.....as am one who believes in miracles, faith, and most important "GOD" ....so I keep on keeping on with my ever increasing beliefs....😉♥️💯

Thanks so much my dear 🥰 It’s why I try not to dwell on what happened or what can happen. I learned that the hard way 😂 There’s just no point trying to stress about what could happen especially when medicine can change from one day to another, except the stress itself can only aggravate your health. Better to deal with things when they happen and stay positive in the meantime and especially, live the best life I can. 😀🐰

Hi @me6412 and @Nat09 my love and thoughts are with you so much, I am so very sorry 😔 xox
I can only empathise, many of my sleep disorders are through trauma and stress and not illness and can be directly related to events in my life.
This has been a very helpful thread. I wish everyone affected by these problems lots of love, sleep is so important, and a peaceful one which is more beneficial and well needed. 🌈💜
