Last summer, Inside Out 2 captivated the world and became the highest-grossing animated movie in the world. To honor this moment, here's Denize cosplaying as one of the new emotions in Riley Andersen's mind…Nostalgia!

Nostalgia, as the 10th unique emotion to appear in Riley's mind, actually gets VERY little screen time in this sequel to Inside Out, and I actually thought about Denize cosplaying the big head honcho of the emotions, Joy, and calling the work "A Different Kind of Joy Luck Club", in reference to the Amy Tan novel The Joy Luck Club. But Nostalgia and Denize can both be described as sweet elderly women, so it would make more sense for Denize to cosplay as Nostalgia and give her a bit more limelight. I have taken the pains to translate Nostalgia's colors and outfit to Denize's body, but had to remove some details due to time constraints. Nevertheless, you will like what I have here!

  • The Force was strong with Denize, but not with her husband, for he decided to cosplay as the legendary Mandalorian warrior Din Djarin, from the first long-form live-action Star Wars TV series, The Mandalorian!

Today marks the 5th anniversary of The Mandalorian, which launched on Disney+, Disney's streaming service. This series captivated audiences across three seasons chronicling a warrior defending the galaxy from the remnants of the defeated tyrannical Galactic Empire while maintaining his honor, and he became well-known in some circles as the raddest dad in the galaxy in his protection of the alien Force-sensitive child Grogu. To celebrate this, I had Mr. Dragon, Denize's husband, cosplay as Din Djarin, as a counter to Denize's Jedi costume in her favoring of Force sensitivity. I've taken pains to faithfully translate Din Djarin's full beskar armor as seen in the series onto Mr. Dragon's long body, including his helmet, and even went on to show him holding his Amban phase-pulse blaster, a prime weapon of choice in his arsenal, while flying on his jetpack. As the helmet usually can't cover his long, crocodilian head well, I've widened the helmet's T-visor to let his long jaws stick through it. He definitely looks like someone you don't want to cross!

  • Denize is known to have her yins and yangs, and her cosplay of Elphaba and Glinda from the new film adaptation of the first act of Wicked, shows it! And yes, she even went so far as to get her scales painted green to fully capture the future Wicked Witch's look.

This was my opportunity to show Denize liking to be witchy sometimes. I also thought that her Eastern origins entailed that she also had some fascination with the balance between good and evil that would draw her to a work like Wicked, and thus I named this work "Yin-Yang Sorceress".

Hey! Would you like to give us your opinion?
