I can’t get past level 106 because nothing I do does anything to the leaf piles, what am I doing wrong?

On level 257 of Blossom Blast, the count for the weeds is wrong.
When playing the game I have gotten rid of all the weeds but it says 2 are remaining. There are no more weeds but there are 2 pile of leaves. And when the game begins, the count for the weeds will go down, but no weeds have been taken out, but there are less pile of leaves, so I think the designer included the pile of…
