I have lots of gold bricks, but I can't access them to buy lives; I can only share.

I have over 100 gold bricks.  When I run out of my 5 lives, I cannot access my gold bricks to buy more lives;  that page doesn't even come up.  Rather, I just get the page where I can request or send lives.  I want to use my lives - I paid for them!
