Losing Star Dust Points

Note: As of 8/15, top 10 questions for "star dust" did not address this problem.

My star dust points keep disappearing; not all, but some. I complete a quest or touch fairies and see my score increase. Then within 10-30 min, the score reverts back to its previous number. Points don't come back after new points have been added. Have lost at least 1,000/~7,000 points in the past week, always in even increments of recently acquired points. 

Sent a message and was directed here, but the other "star dust" posts are either about another issue or two people with this issue got told to check their private inboxes for a reply. Guess I'll wait for my private reply too, please Thank you for an otherwise great game!
