Buying gold takes away your ability to watch ads for more bubbles and life?

I've always used the option to watch ads to get the 3 extra bubbles or when I run out of lives. Last Sunday I bought gold for the very first time and I haven't been given the option to watch ads for extra bubbles, extra life or free boosters. What gives? Because I spent money this free option was taken away? I'd really like this it back.

❓️Have you updated the game app? Sometimes new versions/older versions will not have all the same features.

ℹ️ Also, bear in mind that extra features -like watching videos- are often there for a limited time.
