Hi @johamilton and @DieOmimi thanks for the fun contest. Congratz @KCullen127 and @DGenevieve! Amazing scores, really impressive! Also, congratz @bearwithme, again, a terrific score, and it ends in 5! And congrtaz @CassD, @MiladyR, and @wykoon as well. You all made it a fun challenge! Well done everyone!
One last thing, a couple of hints on my Personal Nemesis,the number 999995. Don't read unless you have time to kill and are interested in hints on making this score, and most of you may already know all this anyway.. Keeping in mind also that I haven't had the time to really work toward this goal.So take this with a grain of salt.
This is a difficult score to achieve. In fact, in the normal course of Bubble Witch 3, it's impossible. Because:
Hint #1: You cannot achieve a score ending in 5 while Stella is wearing the Red/Brown or Blue hats. These effectively double your score. So no scores ending in 5. Without that score doubling, you can't get the super high scores. For instance, on an above average board, there could be 500 bubbles to clear, and you might have 33 bubbles. Even if you use the Big Spell and a bunch of boosters to clear the board, the highest score would be 250,000 (clearing a bubble with a booster gives 500 points per bubble) + a bonus score for the 33 shooter bubbles 561000 = 811000. Of course, there could be levels with more bubbles, but not many. O But normally, you you just can't achieve that 999995 score.There are ways around that, , such as a crossover challenge where part of the score comes from a different game. ๐
Hint #2: To get the score ending in a 5, you need to bounce you shot off the side, once. The first time you bounce a shot off the side wall, you will get 25 points added to whatever points you earn by clearing bubbles. It gets tricky though, because the next shot you get 50 points added. The third shot, you get 75 points added and so on, and each following shot increments by 25 points., and there goes you score ending in 5. So keeping track of side bounce shots gets complicated. Also each dropped normal bubble is worth 50 points, and each dropped blocker or helper bubble equals 100 point.
So don't feel bad if you couldn't get that elusive 999995.! ๐.
