My reasoning is that a yellow bubble can't have any effect on the purple ones, but C will ensure that the surrounding bubbles are burst, allowing Charlie to get home.

C - The Yellow bubble you have to shoot with can't clear the Purple bubbles (although it would make a Royal Gold and Purple Display!) so you have to hit the crystal in order to clear a path for Charlie.
