Hi @johamilton. As @Lady_Choo says, our summer was a washout. We did keep that horrid, drizzly rain here - no one else would have wanted it!
Today, it has been warmer, dry and much more pleasant. I look forward to seeing the Autumn leaves as they change colour. However, the most important thing in September will be for us to be able to celebrate my husband's birthday at home with family towards the end of the month.
Hi @johamilton
I am also from the UK, so as @Lady_Choo has said we have experienced the same.
We are the southern part of the Country. The weather is due to warm up a bit next week and looking forward to hanging washing out on my line. I can't believe we still have a hose pipe ban in place since a year a go given the rain we have had!
It was incredibly dry last year and hot, our water company let our reservoirs run so low last year and with tourists they didn't want to impact on their enjoyment.
Looking forward to them lifting the ban at the end of this month so I can get my path and greenhouse pressure washed, my greenhouse is literally green! and my path black and slimy 🤢
Dad's birthday this month. My Gran's funeral on Monday.
Leaves are falling prematurely, many are green still! I so worry about Global Warming, changes in temperatures in our Environment and how mankind treats the World in which we live. We should be taking care of it, it is what supports us 😢
It's been a lot of fire going on in Oregon this year, and I'm in need of some fresh air and rain, been breathing smoky air almost everyday since the beginning of summer. On the other side I finally can get my pumpkin spice latte today and that the sign of happy fall finally here 🎃
