HI @Hotfire79 Welcome to the Candy Crush Friends Saga Community.
The 2 hr Fish booster show active on the screen where you select your friend. If you do not see a time on this screen then what you received was most likely a sticker which you have to collect all to receive the booster. What it does is when your friend collects all their candy and perform their move a fish is released and hits a square on the board.
