Gold taken out without moves added

The last 3 times I was 2 moves from completing the level I’m on and attempted to add 5 moves it repeatedly said, “Oops, something went wrong.” a few times in a row and I went from 21 gold pieces and now it’s at 1 but it never added the moves and I had to eventually give up. Can you add back what was taken out and is there a glitch going on that I can prevent from happening again?
