Difference in Friends?

I've noticed that the "friends" you get (the ones that help by either tossing striped candy or fish onto the board) at the bottom of the screen pretty much all do the same thing.  Like the Yeti character.  He's just dressed differently and moves a different way when tossing the candies onto the board.  Am I correct?  Because I've tried to see any difference besides the way the look and act, and I cannot.  They do the same thing.

@Duchess44 you are correct. Putting on different costumes doesn't alter the power of the friend. It's just a fun thing to do. Also collecting different costumes is a fun activity unique to CCFS. Cheets

As @flew66 mentioned, the varying costumes you can collect/unlock don't change their friend powers in any way. However, we do have an ongoing idea for giving costumes additional power if you would like to vote on that here:
