I don't have that icon. Do I need an update?

I checked and I had an update. I installed it and the title screen has the holiday decorations but not the board. 

After a second shutdown, I now have it.

I have not gotten the holiday calendar challenge.  Was everyone supposed to get it?  I checked for updates and the last one was on 11/28/19.  Version 1.26.7.0 and am playing on a Windows 10 PC.  My user id is 6746836555.  Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to get the event.  Thank you.
