Have you done anything to the game, like updating for instance? Is the event back? Please try to see if you have any update available and force close the App to refresh the background. 

Have you been able to complete the first week? Please let us know what's your Game Id so we can investigate.

Game user ID is a number.  To find that, you will have to click on that Orange King Emblem that is located in the top of the screen.
