    Hey @Elsa.
Thanks alot for the info that you gathered about New Year's Eve traditions around the world.
About what you said for Greece is right! (I'm Greek you know!)
Pomegranate is the symbol of good luck and symbol of  prosperity, fertility and regeneration in our country.

According to the tradition, after the first person reenters the house, someone else with a good heart has the honor of smashing a pomegranate at the door. It is said that the more seeds on the floor, the better and luckier the year will be.

Also, in Greece, we have and other traditions too so I'm sure that you will find them very interesting.

Last post to this message.  What time zone are you in?  When will it be New Year's where you live?  Click on the image to compare time zones.  I live in the USA ET so there is a little over 18 hours left until 2020.
