I've pass this on to the team in charge of sending out the email and they have promised to manually add the Gold bars to your game and apologies for the inconviance caused.

Two issues. Unable to receive lives and /or lost bw3 friends that sent them. I also had one of those 50 gold bar emails with no reward given for candy crush friends. I think I can retrieve it if you need to see it. Hope problems get help because I like to play too much and I cannot pay to play.

Like the others, I've been getting this same email for some time from Candy Crush Friends. And "Activating" in email is as described above. Doesn't connect to my game. I login through Facebook to play and save place.
"This reached your inbox because you connected via Facebook or created a King account."
I've even tried opening on phone to see if it would credit to ap, but no different.
