Tiffi finds more ideas for a virtual party. She finds an article that might be interesting.

Thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, like just about every holiday since Valentine’s Day 2020, New Year’s Eve is going to look a lot different this year than it ever has before. There will be no hordes of revelers in Times Square, and most people won’t be celebrating at glitzy bashes and balls full of bubbly. Instead, most of us will be safely social distancing—but it doesn’t mean we have to be alone or forgo festivities entirely. These virtual New Year’s party ideas will guarantee a good time so you can still close out 2020 with a bang, but also welcome 2021 in a healthy way that will ensure we’ll be able to celebrate with loved ones later!

Virtual Escape Room Party - Just because you aren’t physically in the same room doesn’t mean you can’t do an online escape room with your buddies. Try to make it out of a virtual escape room before midnight and celebrate with bubbly!

Virtual Talent Show Party - Are you unrivaled at hula hooping? Can your BFF belch the alphabet? Take turns showing off your skills and hidden talents!

Zombie Apocalypse Party - Let’s be real, the undead were basically the only thing missing from 2020. Get ghoulish with makeup and prosthetics, stream some zombie goodness on Netflix, eat some creepy treats, and spook one another via video for a zombie apocalypse party.’ (Source

‘Hangman - You may not have played this game since you were a little kid, but it’s an entertaining way to pass the time. Thanks to the Zoom Whiteboard feature, you and your friends can walk down memory lane and play virtual Hangman. Here’s how it works: One player shares her screen, then selects the whiteboard. She shares the whiteboard feature so everyone can see it, then utilizes Zoom’s annotation tools to draw out the quintessential Hangman setup. Each player takes turns guessing a vowel or consonant. There will either be one winner or everyone loses should no one guess the word before the man’s full

Trivia - There’s more than just one way to play virtual trivia. You can log onto a live trivia session such as Traverse Events on Facebook, or you can play with Zoom and this Random Trivia Generator. One player generates the trivia, then acts as the Quiz Master of the game. The rest of the players can play one of two ways: When you think you know the answer to a trivia question, you can either shout it out or type it in the chat bar. If you shout out the answers, it might get difficult to hear who said it first (plus there’s a bit of a lag) but if you type it out, it might not be an accurate depiction of who really got it first. Both ways have their pros and cons, but either way is acceptable.’ (Source

That’s enough for now. Time to share these ideas with Elsa.

“Hi Elsa, what’s up?” says Tiffi. “I’ve found a lot of information on Google about having a virtual New Year’s Eve party. I’ll email you the information that I found and then let’s chat to see what you think might be doable.”

Sounds like a plan!
