The function, videos for boosters or additional moves is still active. It has not disappeared forever.
You need to know that the team that controls events and promotions is trying to make it available to all players. However, this is not possible at all times. In order for many of the many millions of players to enjoy, the feature is only unlocked for a few hours or days per player. I myself only have the function on one or two different days a month. It is always very helpful. Every player would like to have it forever.
The provider wants to distribute the fun to as many players as possible, so you will have it again in your game. It is always available for a limited time, after which it is the turn of another group of players.
